A photo that succeeds on every level of the challenge, shallow DOF and you genuinely missed the focus..... should come higher than 16th on a purely criteria driven judging system ;-)

lol - i hate when this happens. Sometimes mine just won't even shoot! Very annoying. I hope you had time to get a shot of the deer in focus too.

The shot is a bit overexposed, but I love the delicate nature of the wispy grass and the doe out of focus. :~)
