 Not big into shooting floral shots really, but I'm really happy with this image. It was a gift from our friends as my wife recently had surgery so I thought I would shoot it before it withers away for good.

This is actually an HDR of three images. I laugh at the first comment "this is not an HDR image." I guess what he should have said is "This doesn't look like a Photomatix image."

I like this image but why HDR? The whole point is to increase dynamic range. Your scene should have had everything exposed properly to begin with. Just curious...

the center seems to have lost some detail. the petals are perfect though. 8

A good floral shot that stands out well against the black background. I'm not a huge fan of florals, but this still deserves a vote on the positive side of the scale.

Flower is a bit blurry. That takes your score down to a 5. Nice colors and offset. Beautiful flowers. I'd just kill to see the textures on the stem.

a difficult one again... really nice photo but it does look like it could have been acheived without resorting to HDR even if it is.

I shall be rating this challenge by the following criteria:

1 - Not HDR in my opinion

3 - HDR is way over-done, in my opinion

5 - A reasonable use of HDR, but not a very engaging photo, in my opinion

7 - A reasonable use of HDR, and an engaging photo, in my opinion

10 - A fantastic use of HDR, and an out of this world photo, in my opinion
