New camera on lap, manual in hand, unintentional snap of a chair in our library while trying to figure out what button does what. Somehow reminds me of cubism. Uncropped.

Yah new camera - one of our rebels bit the dust so we got a refurb 40D. Unfortunately the other rebel is starting to limp. (indulging in too many serendipitous snaps!)

Love the notes. That's what serendipity is all about. ;)

Good luck with the 40D. You'll love it.

The thumb is like an abstract painting that someone left out in the rain, making the intense stark lines blur into one another. :~)

This is great, a modernist painting.

REading the manual is a good idea. I should do it sometime. Great image by the way!

Pretty cool. I too was thinking cubism or some other 20th century "school."

I see a Juan Gris self portrait, complete with tuft of hair. Excellent use of the 'Serendipity Preset' on your new camera.

Very serendipitous composition and colour arrangement.

Heh! One of the best serendipity stories so far, though you do have to compete with the camera-tossing guy and that's a hard one to beat. New camera??
