 A gull at the beach taking off with a bit of roll he found. Cheeky, those birds!

Ordinarily I don't like the subject leaving the frame with so little room to continue but I think the sweep of the tire tracks helps mitigate that here. And I love his shadow.

PP - converted from RAW, cropped a bit, levels, white balance, dark brown gradient filter on upper left to shade it a bit, dodged eye, resized, sharpened.

i've seen them take sandwiches out of children's hands on many occasions hahaha. i know sometimes it's frustrating when the subject is leaving the frame, but for shots like this i actually like it a lot. it gives me a sense of the escape
