I was standing about 5 feet away from this cutie at the time. We hung out for a couple of hours. He had no interest in attacking me, he was more curious than anything else. I guess he's not used to humans approaching him.

At one point, another car arrived to dump rubbish and he disappeared, after they left, he came back.

It was so much fun, just me and the bear! :-)

Isn't it sad that a amazing mammal such as this is reduced to eating from a rubbish tip.

I agree with ellamay, here in Montana a fed bear is a dead bear!

or he really is used to people, which is probably worse for him, esp. when he is eating garbage already at such a young age. Isn't it such a gift to be able to spend time with wildlife. Just be careful you don't start to smell too much like his dinner, he may confuse you : )
