 Broad winged hawk, in an orange grove. 300mm 4.5 Nikkor Ai ED. This is about 1/4 of the original shot. Basic edit.
I like the little hearts on his chest.

Good capture. I love birds of prey and I hope to be able to get this close to some. I like how his head is turned to show his entire profile.

Thank you for pointing out the hearts on his chest... What an interesting image!! I love the contrast in colors as well as the contrast of the fierce face and the hearts on the chest. Excellent capture.

This is a nice shot, could easily see it in a bird guide book.
Nice clean well done shot. I would maybe if really picky clone the white in top right with some of the green branches

These birds of prey have such excellent eyesight and instinct that they are difficult to shoot .... Like the detail in it's feet - powerful feet that can hold on to and carry off quite heavy prey

Birds of prey make such great subjects. They have that arrogant air of menace about them. Good sharp shot with a nicely blurred background. Hope to see more like this:)

He's very majestic looking. Very smart keeping your camera with you at all times. You never know when something like this just appears.

I like the branches that he's sitting on; adds a lot to the shot imo.
