 The first 3 white eggplants (aubergine) that I grew. The plant has atleast 20 fruits on it right now. Very nice looking plant as well.

I took this in a small plastic bowl with a nice piece of paper behind it. One sb-28 used in an umbrella at camera left toward center. I used a piece of paper to block some of the light from hitting the background (creating the gradient). I also used a small fill card to bounce some light onto the shadow side of the eggplants.

Not what I was picturing as the type of thing that would fit "Veggie Tales", but I really do like this image a lot. I find the image very pleasing, and will score it high for that reason.

Cool to see something out of the ordinary, at least for me. Eggplant variety or relative? The skin is so pure and unblemished, great subject, might have not cropped the bowl so tight, it may add a nice contrast to the veggie.

A good photo but to me, lacking a 'scene'. And I had no idea 'Aubergine' were indeed 'Eggplant' so thanks for the lesson!
