 This a photo of my grandma (who was gracious enough to pose) done with a single external strobe with a softbox. Editing steps: Levels, Curves, Topaz Adjust, Desaturate, USM

Oh, wow! Thanks everyone. My grandma is happy too. I am so excited to get my second ribbon.

Every wrinkle and furrow on that beautiful face is a milestone lived or witnessed in her lifetime. Awesome picture, but then again, most of yours are.

Excellent capture and expression I see they are allowing Topaz Adjust as basic editing Basic Editing changes and used very well.

Tremendous shot - what a trooper your gran must be!
My mother would have fainted if she saw this and it was her portrait - she is more the heavy smoothing sort.

I much admire the amazing texture of skin you have produced, and this with the soft box. I have to try this myself.

I really like the sharpness and clarity in this shot. The way it's framed leaving out the hair and even the rest of the hand is nice too - forces the viewer to focus on the features. This shot deserves to do well.
