I suppose the water towers in the background have a symbolic connection to the water in the fountain, but their character doesn't really fit the rest of the image.

Aha - someone who does understand deep DoF (a few don't seem to.) A very nice composition, great sky, nice colors. It's too bad there were two water towers merging in the background. I would have though your shutter speed at that aperture would have made the water more velvety looking.

good DOF, but an ugly subject, especially with that water tower in the background.
