| i think this is a great pic. surprised at the ratings, though. it has such great texture and clarity that it should have gotten at least some 10s! |

You asked for an in dpeth comment on your shot in this challenge.
First off, I am not sure whether to say eww or wowwwwwww. This is an excellent image of making the imagination soar. It is a very powerful image. We know what it is, but our minds take over as to what it could be, what a powerful thing you have done to us all.
I think that taking the stem off would have given this a more abstract feeling. Abstracts are a weird thing really. Some people think they should just be a blurry odd unrecognized thing and then others think that you should be able to identify it.
I can see nothing that would improve this shot or any suggestions.

| Abstracts are weird challenges. Usually my votes line up more or less with the overall palcement, but not this time. I gave this one an 8 and was surprised to see where it placed overall. Some very good photography scored very low in this challenge. |
