 A local showing me around offered to take me to a remote village only accessible by boat. He spoke to this man and he offered to take me and wanted RP100,000 upfront. I gave him rp50,000 and told him he would get the other 50 when he brought me back!

The canoe leaked the whole 2km trip there and back.

It was quite an adventure.

I bet it was some adventure - and I suspect that you were wise to make half the payment dependent upon your safe return! This is a superb environmental portrait.
