I covered four chairs with black cloth. Creating a tunnel open at two ends. A white background was positioned near one end. Lit by remote flash. The camera was tripoded at the other end, just out side of the tunnel. Placing my hand in the tunnel, served to stop any unwanted, bounced light, from killing the silhouette. The real trick was the timing and patience. Each key was placed on my hand in a star pattern. I had to lift and rotate my wrist towards the camera. Followed by getting my hand, back down to its original position. Then hitting the remote release. I was lucky to have a key, pick up some background light. Plus being the only key in focus, was a bonus.
Image was cropped in iphoto, resized, no other changes to image.

Well captured. How many times did you have to do that?

Love the idea and the shot.
I don't know if it's my monitor, it shouldn't be as it's just been calibrated, but I can see a great deal of greenish noise on the hand.

Ok just to check I grabbed the image and when I open it in PS or simply just view it the image is fine so it has to be something to do with safari

I've just tried resaving your file using save for web and set to Progressive in place of Optimized and/or embeded colour and now it seems fine in Safari...

Great silhouette, i really would like to see that one on the same position, but that was probably tough! Really simple subject but pleasing! Good luck! I'm not voting this challenge, just commenting.
