 This is Lilja. Makeup/bodypainting by Eva Hrönn and Helgi. What we did was we first bodypainted Lilja with black bodypaint. We then put baby oil on her to make her all shiny. Helgi then poured about 2 liters of cooking oil over Lilja from above so yes, she is indeed covered in "real oil", just not motor oil.

This was one of the last shots taken during the shoot, I had scouted this location out the day before and liked this puddle of water so we went there last as it would ruin the "makeup" on her knees. The backround was a bit flat so I asked Helgi to splash some water on it, as you can see.

Lighting was one Profoto monolight shot through a white umbrella positioned over my head. Two canon speedlite flashes behind her on either side for backlighting. Shot at an house that was being built but has been abandoned for months.

How anyone can give this a 1 is beyond me! Great idea done to perfection! Superb lighting, environment, and a perfect model (with perfect "costume" to boot)! I also really like the feeling of depth in this shot.

Larus? I like the underground feel, and the "grease" stain in the background. She appears to be a creature of the sewer. Good work, and good luck, I'm sure this will be in the top 5.
