Greetings from the Critique Club
First of all let me congratulate you on a good score on your first challenge submission!
As far as fitting the challenge, I think it was definitely a little bit different and so likely scored well due to that.
I like the composition and find the extra rock gives the image some context, but I think it may be interesting to see it without too.
From a technical point of view, I find the main subject to be a bit soft. It looks to me like it has been quite heavily cropped. Not in itself a big problem, but typically the sharper an image is, the better it will do on DPC.
Overall a good first challenge entry. |

I ended up with a higher score than I thought I would. Overall I'm pretty happy with the results of my first challenge submission. If I had to do it again I think I would have tried to frame the shot without the smaller rock. I also would have got really wide and tried to emphasis how high up we were. Thanks everyone for all the feedback. I'm a beginner at this so I really value the input and perspective a community like this can provide. |

Hey, This looks like Mt Olympus with point of the mountain and a little sliver of Utah Lake in the background. Been up there many times if it is. I might have gone a little wider to the right and left more room at the top. Kudos for the day hike. |

I don't see life and death in this. Daring maybe. I do have to say that the blues are pretty. |

That is a cool shot. It reminds me of this one other shot this guy did on DPC where it looked like he was flying. Cut out that other rock (probably was a good idea to keep it for the challenge) and this would be a super cool shot. |

If you could have cropped out the rock below his feet, I think this could work better. |
