 Macro shot of a 2cm long snail shell on the side of my house's wall. The snail was at a height just enough where I had to protrude my neck out a bit in order to manage to get a glimpse through the viewfinder (I took the camera and shot downwards on the wall, towards the ground) so I could attempt to compose something of it. A beautiful concept, a snail's shell (I think).

Hello from the Critique Club,

I think that reading the description of the challenge would have helped you out here somewhat. IF you had titled it, Empty home, most people would have got that the snail was dead.

Sharpeness is an issue with this shot, also the foreground. I actually like snail shells and think that this easily could have been a better shot for you.

It is a good position of the snail in this shot

Keep shooting snails, I want to see some more!

Just a bit more DOF would have helped. It is so shallow that the foreground is distracting.
