4.5? Really? It's an awesome shot - very artistic, excellent light. Too bad it's not appreciated here. |

Give them time. Some will come around and just need a few shots like this to be spotlighted (as it rightly is) in the threads. It will slowly strike them that "hey.... I like that." They may not know why - heck I don't know why I like some of the stuff I like, I just do. Some will never come around - won't help to slap 'em upside the head. Though it may provide a bit of satisfaction. :-) |

Perfect example that not all photos need to be razor-sharp. Love the effect. Congrats for being so daring :) |

Totally underrated. I didn't know it was you, and was really surprised not to come across it much sooner in my after the ball is over perusal. Definitely my favourite and most remembered in this challenge. Hope you like it as much as I do. |

Well, I figured a lot of the quick fire power voters would not take the time to 'see' this one, but 4.5??? Man, seriously under-rated, IMO. But at least from the comments, there are some that see the magic here. It's a really great portrait, feel good about this image man, feel very good. :-) |

Best in show. Focus is immaterial. I hope the crowd can see your intent and NOT judge this as a mistake...but one can only be hopeful. |

Very daring submission for dpc :-) I really like it though. I think it works very well for this image, for this person. I think it helps in showing who this guy is, which after all, is the goal of a good portrait, no? Good job with the lighting too. So, nice job! Good luck with the rest of the voters. :-) |

Totally effective use of DOF and softness, wonderful image. Really stands out from the crowd in this challenge. 9 from me. |

I don't think the DOF worked well here. It looks like it may have been intentional but it still hurts the photo. |

Not a typically dpc friendly shot.. but I really like it. The softness really drew me into the image.. It has a breathing quality to it.. a 10 for me. |

I'll be very curious to see how this does in voting. You have managed to pull off an out of focus portrait and it is totally clear that this is intentional. It works, too. |
