We often get our produce from a local Farmer's Market and will put certain items in water so that they last longer. These flowers actually came from some similarly acquired leeks which we picked up a couple weeks ago and are still using cuttings from today. Today when I went to the kitchen I just happened to notice that the colors were similar between blossoms and background but that the figure and background also seemed like it could be either retro or abstract. What do you folks think? Suggestions and ideas are most welcome. Thanks!

Hello from the CC Club!!

Well, YAY I get to comment on this shot, which was my fav in the whole challenge. I am pretty stunned at the placement of this shot, should have been higher.

The only thing I can say about this shot, is maybe cropping out the white, blown out area. If you did a straight down left hand side crop this would get rid of this. It would also in affect, put more focus onto the head.

I still love this shot and it still has the same calming affect on me.

Keep on shooting I am excited to see more of your work

Nice focus on the flower head. I'd like to see this cropped a little more to remove the burnout in the bottom LH corner. Nice tones.

Beautiful shot! The matching colors on the curtain work very well.

I personally think this would have been much better if you cropped just the flower and left out the curtain. Other than that, beautiful flower.

5 - Nice color scheme, wish the flower head was a little more dominant to see more detail, seems to be getting lost a little in this composition. Good flower choice.

Interesting choice of subject. Not sure that I like seeing the actual window curtain in the background....I think the natural light falling on the flower would have been enough....also would have showcased this interesting flower a bit better. 5.

I love this, as soon as I saw it , a calming affect came over me. The pale blues and creams are excellent. I love the placement adn the stripes add so much to the shot. I could see this in a shop selling. Very well done 9
