What a nice location for a photo shoot. I think this is a stretch for capturing the notion of skiing, though. In my opinion this shot suffers from harsh lighting. The mountains are properly exposed, but the foreground is too dark. Taking this shot more towards sunrise or sunset would probably yield much nicer results with some nice contrast between the sky and mountains.

team sport? OH, the title says it... "skiing". Ok, well I don't the image represents skiing in any way, sorry. Besides, the challenge is for the image itself, not the image title.

Took me a while to work out what the sport was meant to be- I'm hoping it was skiing otherwise I'm completely flummoxed!

mystic

Great pic, but it seems too dark and hazy. Perhaps some post-production work on the computer would help.

Very nice.

A stretch... I would like to at least see some skiis or something. For the shot itself, the focus on the mountains is pretty good, but it needs more brightness and color.

nice shot, team? nice mountains

Beautiful scenery, but a little muted (maybe my monitor?). It is so dark, I can't see any skiing equipment or sites, so I scored a little lower. The horizon looks tilted, but again, the darkness is preventing a clear view.

I think cropping the foreground out would help a lot, and also allow you to add more contrast in the mountains without using an illegal selection tool.

This seems a bit pixelated. I'm wonderin gif your software program is doing something to your image when you resize. Also, the mountain may have loked more interesting if shot with less sky. Like the image overall, but the compression is slightly distracting.

I see mountains but no slopes or guides or skiing equipment. It's pretty scenery, but I would not look at it and think "Skiing". The composition is nice.

I don't see the slopes. Picture needed more of the grass area.

I like the shot, it just seems a little under exposed.

not really a team sport

I dont see much here that says skiing, at least not from what I can see. It is a nice picture of mountains but the foreground is very dark.

Nice mountainscape, but without the title, it doesn't really "capture the notion" of skiiing. Sorry.

team sport? where?
06/01/2004 08:29:20 PM
well, not *much* of a team sport, and this is more a picture of a mountain than anything to do with skiing....the shot looks rather hazy, maybe a UV filter would help? Although you get an extra point because skiing is my favorite sport. :)
