 Shot from the back of a boat while on the way out to fish on the reef. Hand held at 1/8 sec. I was tripping the shutter each time the sky got bright. I managed to get 3 strokes with about 25 exposures.
This may be lightning in a waterspout. I noticed that there are no branches on the bolt. The photo from about a minute before this showed a cloud formation that looked a lot like a waterspout in the same place.

This is amazing and must be the only photo of this kind! And thanks to the photo domino I'm happy to have seen it.
I'm not sure you're aware but there is a forum where your photo's being discussed :). I came across it while looking up lightnings in waterspouts.
Anyway, wonderful shot! Now, how to continue the domino after this?

I am familiar with boats and fishing and water spouts (on Lake Erie). I must say, this is an incredible, super, fantastic shot! Wow! (I still head in when it starts to lightening though.)
