Okay, so I was really, really fortunate to be on vacation in Yellowstone NP during this challenge and happened to see this grizzly. Took him a while to come down and cross the street, but the wait was well worth it!

I'd say the Grizzly has the right of way, especially if I'm riding my bike...
as fast s I can in the other direction...It looks a bit hungry too!

Work the colours here and the bear will pop out a bit more. Pity he is not as sharp as he could be

You don't see that every day, at least not in the lower 48. Has to be Alaska or Canada. My only critique would be not crop so tight to give the picture greater context (building in the background and such). I know it's obviously a highway with the asphalt and lane dividers... but then again, if this is a "common" sight on a desolate highway, then the tight crop does portray the illusion that it's very unusual. Anyways, nice pic.

wow. grizzly bears aren't what i imagine when i think street photography, but it's pretty hard to argue this one! great capture =) you must've been glad to have your camera on hand.. i'm looking forward to reading the story behind this shot.
