Hi from the CC Club,
Well, technically, the horses above the colt are above him and you are above him. I'm afraid not far enough above him. It is important to read the challenge descriptions and there are always threads about the current challenge going on. These you may find helpful for ideas and more indepth discoussions about the description of the challenge. Try isolating the colt the next time.
The colt is in sharp focus, just has a rump in the way of his rump, play around with positioning and you will be surprised at what you may find. You have good clear clarity going on throughout the photo, you AP was perfect, ISO and Shutter spot on.
Post Processing, don't be afraid to play with selective colours and the black and white. The shadow highlights will give more contrast as well.

These look like they're wild horses. I'm guessing that you couldn't get any closer. This could use a little more height to give the impression that you are above the horses looking down on them. |
