Dont think it pertains to the theme

I'm not sensing much anticipation or excitement in this shot, despite the title. The lines on the track are a bit jagged, and I think the picture would have been better with less of the crowd... just too dark up there to contribute the shot.

A very good idea for this challenge. Because there is so much going on in the background, it may have been a better composition if you put something into the forefront to draw the reader's eye into the rest o the scene. Maybe something to explain teh event, like a track outfit, a programme, etc. not sure. I can't tell what people are waiting to see, but that's okay too. Just needs something int he forefront - maybe even to create some drama with DOF. Good luck with this though. it's a good idea.

good idea but a bit too far back when posted at 640 pix. I can't see any single reaction, makes for less drama, could it have worked with fewer people closer in?

This would do well in the "Waiting" challenge. Can you take it again this week? : )

This is perfect for this challenge (I wanted so much to submit a photo like this) ... the excitement is palpable without showing what's going on. My favorite this early and I hope this makes it to the top, or top ten at least. A ten of course.
