 I guess you could say my interest in photorealism is minimal. Preconceived ideas are something to be avoided. I prefer to let it speak to me, & follow my creative nose.

My first delight in digital photography was to be able to capture color to play with in Photoshop. This is part of a white iris, copied & then flipped. The artificial bilateral symmetry created in this way has the effect of a Rorschach ink-blot in that it stimulates my innterpretive imagination to 'see' things I would never think of to draw on my own. For this comp I have used dodge & burn, sharpen & saturate. I haven't drawn any lines yet. I think the 'feet' need further work, I might use lines there to give them claws.

This is so cool! I love the transparent quality of the flower.. this has a very etherial feeling to it..
