 Taken while exploring an abandoned building.. mostly because I needed something to fill the empty space! I really liked the texture and color of the bricks.. especially since I had specifically crawled into this building to find shots like this.

I'm kind of disappointed because I feel like I set the focus a bit too far forward in the image to get my face really sharp, and consequently had to oversharpen the image a little bit. And, because of the oversharpening, I had to cut down on the save quality by a lot to meet the 150k limit.. meaning less sharpness!! But I figured it was more important to get the face a little sharper and just sacrifice some of the save quality, which seems like it affects the texture of the bricks the most.

Post Challenge: I'm at least happy that it did better than my last High Contrast entry, which also featured bricks.

Beautiful colors in the brick! You really found a perfect way to add a subject (you) while letting the colors in the brick take over most of the picture.
