| Would have been better if tee was straight. Golf ball is blow out in upper left. Certainly high contrast. |

| It's a bit noisy in the shadows and it's a tad over-sharpened (you can see the jagged edge on the tee). It's a nice composition though. |

| I find myself wishing there was more going on, maybe more extreme lighting so the divots would be higher contrast? |

With a simple subject and composition the exposure needs to be perfect for real impact. Here, the high lights are blown while the shadows are noisy. Things that might help are: use a tripod: select lowest ISO: lower the intensity of the light source: bracket your exposures: Shoot in RAW
