I like the pollen. Something about the photo is throwing me off though. Can't quite place it. Something about the color is making me think of 70s shag carpet.

Cool! I was wondering at first if you pulled the wings off--I was really glad to look closely and see at least the left wing :)

I almost see a hint of a wing on the left side.

I like how the things are like stars shining. Regardless of the title tryign to help, I want to see the wings. (not voting)

No, just wings that are beating too fast for the shutter speed. :)

Pretty cool photo, very sharp with lots of detail.

Ah, the ol' bee gathering pollen macro. Countless examples on DPC. Probably very few without wings, but this one isn't really without wings either. I'd give it a 3 out of 10 on the uniqueness meter. The centered composition doesn't really do anything for me either.

Very beatutiful... Cliché... the title saved a low score, because i didnt realize the wingless thing at first sight...

Nice use of shutter speed to remove the wings. Very original.
Nice macro too!

Granted, I can't remember seeing a wingless version of this critter on dpc (can't say I've searched lol). I'm loving the right half of this but for me the left half lets things down a little. Maybe its the very shallow dof but his/her body is a little blown out and oof and I think the left background could do with a little neat image. Overall I quite like the image but sadly, for me it doesn't make me say 'WOW' Good luck :)

Great macro! I did not catch the fit to this challenge until I read your title - since there are many bug macros. But with your title, I understand where you were going with it. Great photo and great capture!

Seems to have one wing! Great attempt. I like the DOF, great color, and well focused. But for me, the subject is well represented on DPC. 4
