Ernie , I am just as dissapointed as you are. This is a darn good shot! The voters dinged the shot because they felt that it did not fit the challenge. I had the same fear with my shot , so I added an almost unnoticeable yellow tone to the shot and yes it did fare better.
Anyway an excellent shot is an excellent shot. Don't worry too much about it. |

Nice catch! Great choice of lens also. :-P
Every year we go to New Hampshire for summer vacation. I've yet to capture an image worthy of sharing of one of these beautiful birds. My best sightings have always come with a fishing rod in hand. :-) |

| lucky shot, i was just photographing loons yesterday and i had problems getting a shot even with an extender on my 70-200. good job! |
