 Went to the beach pretty early, before sunrise. Probably around 5:30 Am when I shot this. I had hoped for sunrise, but there was too much fog. Luckily I brought my conch along.

How on earth did this score so low? I mean it's a great score for a different photo, but this is outstanding.

I liked the juxtaposition of stolid sharpness and ephemeral blur, it was one of my 10s.

I like that there is just one thing on the beach.....it contrasts starkly with the empty ocean and sky. The exposure on the waves is good.

ok, this is so technical...I love the water, sand and shell...but I would like this a little better if the shell were placed in the 3rds element more, up just a scoach...it is just a tad close to the bottom...see technical
