 At the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine.. kind of a last minute shot to meet the challenge deadline because I've been having challenge withdrawal after four years! I really wish this was advanced editing so I could avoid the gray resulting from cyan desaturation on the wood.. but it was better than the alternatives (overall blue cast, or not getting the lit up areas "cool" enough).

Greetings from the Critique Club

I have to confess I was a little surprised this did not score higher. I thought it was a pretty strong image for this challenge.

Composition is good, it includes just the right balance of "busy-ness".

One comment I would make is that the image doesn't feel really, really sharp, but looking at your EXIF I can see that maybe a product of the 1600 ISO a relatively slow shutter speed. Without any image stabilisation it is difficult to get things tack sharp at less than 1/60.

Overall, I really like this image and am still surprised it did not score higher.

I've been out of circulation for awhile too. I can't believe this only got a 5.8. Things may have got extra harsh since our last foray. It was a super image as I said in my initial comments and I would have thought it clears 6.0 easily.
