 I saw some pictures in a current photo magazine of this road leading to a small shrine behind the more famous shrines at Nikko. I hadn't been there before, so I went after school (I now work in Nikko city); it was threatening rain.

I really wasn't expecting this to score so highly, so thanks for all the votes. It's my ninth Top Ten, and third Top Five. ;-Þ

This is lovely. A coolness seems to emanate and just take you in. I love the tonal colors of the greens. It would've been more magnificant if the sunlight could have been caught in between all the foliage. A 6!
