I think this one misses on the "without players" aspect of this challenge. The hanging plant and the rest of the action in the background is distracting my attention from the subject. |

Sorry to say, even though they aren't the real thing, you still have players in your 'Team Sports Without Players' submission... the focus could be a bit tighter, and the background a bit less distracting |

Could be a little sharper, and the background is a bit distracting, but the lighting you chose works well for this shot. |

This is well composed, but I don't find pictures of toys to be as interesting as real people (just a personal preference). However, compared to many of the others in this challenge you did a very good job - 7 |

Not a particularly interesting subject. Perhaps if the background were simpler. The hanging planter reduces this to a snap-shot. I"m not sure if the clear acrylic is part of the game but it is also rather disstracting. d |

Okay, I would say those three guys are PLAYERS in the sport. I won't DQ, but I think you might reconsider the instructions next time. Anyhow, for the photo: the background is distracting with the plant and the kitchen cabinets, the lighting is dark, but the colors are nice. The focus might be on the orange player, but it's hard to tell... it's not crystal clear. The crop is too tight on the top, right and bottom. To capture this scene better, go from higher above, move out a bit and try not to get your home in the background. Use more light sources to light up the scene but don't overexpose. Good luck |

The backround in this shot dosen't help your cause, the potted plant and kitchen entry tend to distract |

DOF is bad and the background is disturbing. |

Cool idea, but I don't know if plastic players count as "players" if not then great photo, if so then I think your score may suffer. I like it though.... |

Arn't these guys 'players' in a sense? Cor, this argument could go on forever... :-) |

I thought about doing this at the last minute, wasn't happy with my results though. I like how you accomplished this. I think with a black backdrop (posterboard would work), the background could be made a little less prevalent. Also, maybe including the puck on the players stick would give a better sense of action. Finally, (this coming from a Penguins fan), the Flyer's uniform contrasts greatly with the title = ) (Go Tampa!) btw, nice work. |

Hmmm.... meets the challenge... doesn't meet the challenge... that's the debate in my head. On the one hand, these ARE the players in this game, if it is viewed as a team event, thus it doesn't meet the challenge. On the other hand, this is a mechanical game where the real players manipulate the controls, which drive these players -- HOWEVER, the real players that manipulate these players are individuals -- 2 people pitted against each other -- clearly not a team sport. Hey, I talked myself into a "does not meet the challenge." Do you see why I think this? |
