 Well thought I would try something a little bit different :)

For those that watch Worlds Strongest Man you will know the finals include "The Atlas Stones" challenge, that was my inspiration for this shot... Just hope you like it and that it doesn't bomb, my Avg can't take it at the moment LOL.

For those interested I glued some cotton to the top of the stone and held it up with a rotatable / adjustable grip, the bottom of the stone was dipped in Sugar Water and I tried for ages to get the ant to "drink" from it whilst positioned over the white foamcore but she was having none of it, however, several times she ran up the holder of the grip I was using and would "reach out" so I adjusted the grips to put the stone just above the base and this was the result. Two shots later and the Ant was released back in to the garden :)

WOW .. this is amazing .. just amazing .. its hard enough photographing insects, but to get this .. AWESOME .. !!! .. a wonderfully thought out and executed image .. talk about incredible .. :)

Ha, nicely done! Works really well! Clean background, clean shapes, interesting patterns, colours and textures in the rock and the perfect focal point of the ant!
