Detail from a hand-carved scene of Chinese origin. I think the material is cork.

I wish I had their talent and patience and steady hand. I couldn't take a focused picture of this probably. Great pic. Cropped a little too closely but otherwise good shot. 6 for your efforts. PTL

Definition and quality in the miniature is good but I think the background spoils the shot. perhaps the colours are a little bright and some brightness alterations might have fixed the background problem too.

Nice shot but the marks on the background which appear to be the glass are very distracting. DPz

Pretty well done. Lots of noise in the background. I'm guessing this was a long exposure, and all the "noise" is just dust. Good Luck - Inspzil

challenge -- met.
technical -- the miniature doesn't look 100% sharp on my monitor. what are the dots in the background? i like the even black, but the specs are slightly distracting.
composition -- very nice with that tree on the left 'towering' over the pagoda.

Pretty, is this jade?

I think if you softened the lighting and lowered its height to create some dramatic shadows and contrast, this shot would really work. You also have some lint or something on the black backdrop.

Nice image but dust on the backdrop ( or is it camera noise ) is distracting.
