Thanks salmiakki,

I know this shot was not good I def. didnt get what I wanted from my vision of the effect I was going for, I wanted it to look like smoke was circling around the pic a bit but it just clouded it instead. But thank for the link.

I have started going back thru my pics now and re reading them all.

I think you have received some pretty good feedback from Yo_Spiff on this image, but I will add my comments. In addition to the obvious technical issues due to compression etc, the composition is lacking somewhat too.

Try reading this tutorial for tips on how to prepare your image for DPC to get the optimal quality image.
DPC tutorial for image resizing

It's interesting to see you asking for comments in the scores thread, yet you show no indication that you have read them (very few marked helpful), that may put people off from giving feedback to you.

There is a lack of sharpness and clarity to this photo and I think most of it is due to the use of excessive JPEG compression. Your file size of only 36k indicates a highly compressed image and that is what is robbing a lot of the detail and sharpness from this image. Check your compression settings when you save your file. Always adjust JPEG compression so that your file size is as large as possible, but within the challenge limit. (150k for this one)

Nice setup just too overexposed and centered.

But you don't have to... :)

I think this picture could be better with more sharpness and if you did not put the subject too centered...
