If you pulled the lace back a bit, then blurred it out, it would have given lovely mottled tones. I wonder what this looks like in BnW or sepia. |

The background is too distracting. An increased DOF would have produced a better image. |

The background is too busy for me. The crop is good though. |

As a subject this could work, however, the background is competing with the subject for attention and takes away from the overall viewing experience. Lighting is "ok", maybe a tad harsh. The flower heads look to be a smidge oversharpened. |

I find the background way too busy and distracting. The flower would look a lot better on a plain background. |

Why dead flowers, I don't get it. Maybe with a black depression background it would have worked better. The pot looks a tad crooked. |
