 Thank you for your comments. This was shot in the field, by natural sunlight. They are small poppies, maybe only 12" tall. I approach the flowers, letting that "oooh" feeling be my guide, my first shot is unpremeditated & often my favorite though I take as many shots as I can figure out after the first "oooh" shot. The black BG was created in PP & also the crop.

Looks like you shot it with the black background right from the start. I really like the petal puckers in the upper left area.

Hmm.. I very nearly like this, but the image as a whole seems a little unbalanced; I'm not sure if it is the composition or the POV.

I like the richness in the color and your lighting is terrific (something I need to work on). I also like how you have the other flower playing peek-a-boo from behind.
