The family is one of nature's masterpieces. ~George Santayana, The Life of Reason

Saw this fella on a previous dive and went back a few days later.Did a 85 min dive with him and he opened his mouth twice for me. pretty frustrating :-]

This is a orange stripped Cardinal fish which was about 4 cm long, here is an example of how the males brood the eggs in their mouths.

Hope u like :-]

Ohh nooo, so sorry about the DQ. I removed some silt floating in the water, was hoping this would be judged as sensor dust, guess not.

Here is a crop of the un edited where u can see the silt particles.Should have known better, oh well :-[

Man seriously, if it was up to me this shouldn't take less than the Blue, but what can we do, with such people giving 3 and 4s this way,
You should be proud of this capture, it is one in a life time ..
very well done,
Cheers,

An interesting image, and one that fits in exceptionally well with the title and phrase you have applied to it. The overall presaentation fo the poster, with colour choices, test fonts ect are very good, and helps to give it a professional and finished look to it.
Always difficult to photograph fish, dealing with glass refelections and the like. I think you have done a very good job of the photo. Exposure is good and I like the depth of field you have applied to this. A great submission.

Cool shot! I so wanted to get a shot like this with my Malawi Cichlids, I watched them mate (sold over 500 fry) but never got 'the shot'. I'm not a fan of the frame nor text but have to give a 10 vote for the moment - I'm well impressed!
