 This is my friend Emily. She is graduating this year and I won't see her again for probably a long time, so I wanted to get in one last shoot with her. We had an awesome time. Here is another shot from the shoot:


I am very happy with the results from the shoot. She designed the dress for a play she was in for her theatre capstone, and she brought it along as a possible outfit and I loved it so I chose it for the shoot. I initially wanted her standing awkwardly on a chair, but this was the only interesting chair we had access to and it's too fluffy to stand on. I really like the juxtaposition of textures and patterns. I had her stand next to it and just do whatever, so she began moving around and messing with her skirt and this was my favorite shot. I felt it was most candid and captured the mood I was going for.

This might..no will sound dumb but I like the relationship between the chair and the woman. There seems to be intentional symbolism. Her body language shows that she is undecided about something however her eyes are locked in a fairly intense gaze. I think that she is expecting something out of nothing. Dang, and I can't even vote on this challenge.

This is stunning and so artful. I love her dress and the upturned foot. The chair seems slightly unlevel - if you tilted it left would she look off? No big deal. It's a great shot. 8

Perfect!! well all except that bit of fluff sticking out of the arm (of the chair). But I like that bit of fluff sticking out. I'm so glad you didn't clone it out, cause it will annoy people, and I like when that happens! : )
