 This is my cat, Archie, again. I know this isn't the best shot in the world but it is a special one.

I got Archie from a rescue centre in July 2008 but the poor little fella had been through the wars. He was found battered and bruised after a bad fight with another cat and his owners couldnt be traced :( Once his wounds had healed they discovered that he also had an allergy to harvest mites, this showed itself as manic scratching of the sides of his head by his ears.

For the last 10 months we have struggled to get things under control and he has, at times, just had raw, bloody skin each side of his head..not nice for him at all :( But, a couple of months ago we finally got the medication right and since then he has been going from strength to strength, barely scratching at all now!

So, over the last weekend Andi ( Ecce Signum) and I decided to try letting him out into the garden for a little while...he absolutely loves it! It's so nice to see him sticking his nose in the air as he catches a smell and just generally enjoying being in the great outdoors.

Tonight he won't come back in though! So, this shot was taken a few minutes ago whilst I was watching him from the back door! Apologies for the messy background and fencing but this was really just a snap to share my cats new found freedom! :)

Whatever merits your photo lacks, your story more than makes up for. I am so glad Archie is with you, and enjoying a better life.

What a great story! That's often more important than technicals. :) This is the kind of thing I was hoping to do with this side challenge -- little pieces of our lives shared with each other. Thank you. :)
