There are many wonderful images in this challenge however, this one is my absolute favourite. It's excellent and it's going right into my favourites. Congrats on 4th place, wish it were top 3. |

Great symmetry, although the soft lighting feels a bit too soft. And I can't decide about the border. It's almost stronger than the subject, but also really frames the subject. Hmmmm.... |

Nice spin on the title, however, using a black night would have been interesting to see. There may have been enough light to get the contour of the black knight within the darkness. Still, I like it with the crystal knight too...see I'm not racist or anything, lol.
oooooh, and another request/suggestion...having no border would help too, so the darkness is not constrained in that area alone, but infinite. The boundaries of shot become your border. Ok, I'm shutting up, lol. |

Simple and elegant, the single lighted knight is perfect - a the gentle glow expands in all directions fasing into the dark with any abrupt dividing lines. One curiosity is the reflection with the dark bar - not sure if that was intentional or not as it could be viewed as either a positive statement or a negative artifact without examaning at a higher resolution. That being said, this is a very worthy entry into the challenge. |

This is gorgeous but would have been strong enough without the frame |

I usually hate pictures of chess pieces, as they are so overdone, but this is just stunning. Nice one. I just think I'd sharpen it a smidge, but great shot. 7 |
