You know I was about to give this photo a 4, but I would've been really retarded. The title supports the photo and it is so true...perfect timing. |

If there were such a genre as scifi noir (which, by the way there is, but it's more a literary genre than visual) this would be a perfect example of it. A very clever and inventive title matches the details of the image perfectly - one can almost feel the tension as the viewer is brought face-to-face with the mechanical giants coming over the horizon. From a technical standpoint, it's competant, but the foreground is a little busier than is necessary. That being said, everything matches from the subjects to the title. While not to everyone's taste, it is a very worthy entry into the challenge. Well done. |

I think this image could have a much stronger presence as a square crop with about an inch cropped off the bottom and about a half inch cropped off the top. |

Interesting choice, to remove color. I think that those antennas emit red light, which might have been more efficient here. Also, while darkness is depicted accurately, the lights other than the antenna ones are working against the overall harmony of the photo. |
