Stumped but at least I shot something. Had not taken an image since 04/23. Many issues. I won't burden you with them.

The Rittenhouse Farmers Market opened last week and I got by there on Saturday. They had some great tulips which I had never gotten there before. Apparently they never started to later in the season but the built a new green house and started earlier this year. Hope the tulips last long enough for me to get to shoot them.

I bought this bouquest of small sunflowers as well. I put them in a vase and set them on the end of my typewriter table that I use for me keyboard. I am typing on it now! LOL! I found it on the street years ago. Someone had painting it up real nifty like. Used to clamp lamps on either side above the shooting area and a piece of white poster board as a reflector. Shot with the camera on tripod and used the cable remote release.

Predicting this will not do well. But I am happy I shot something and I even shot some more later in the day.

Post: Camera Raw adjustments in PS Elements 6.0. Crop. Distorttion tool to straighten end of the table. Selected the base and selected inverse. Layer adjustments for levels, brightness/contrast and hue/ssaturaion. Correct Camere Distortion. Distortion tool again to straighten end of table. Crop. Another layer of levels, brightness/contrast and hue/saturation on the entire image. Spot heal dust and distractions on the background as well as on a couple of the leaves and on the vase. Curves adjustment. Adjust sharpness. Resize. USM.

Ah, the good ol' still life. The green wall has given the poor daisies a tint that makes me wish you'd separated from the background a bit more.

Very cool looking table. The light is a bit to green for my taste.

Good combination of green and mixed, the lighting is good but the flowers maybe is a bit too dark. Great picture though

Cool Table! This shot reminds me of Van Gogh, love the colors and lighting.

I like the colors in this image. However the lighting chosen results in the brightest flowers being very close to the corner. That plus the slant of the composition creates too much emphasis on that corner for me.

It seems to be the season of minimalist imagery at DPC and this is a good representation of the genre. From a technical perspective, the image is slightly under exposed which is a negative - a little more light on the subject to bring out some detail in the vase would have been a huge plus. On the other hand, the greens are controlled which is difficult in digital cameras. Artistically, even with the minor technical issues, it is a terrific image - subtle and yet powerful - pleasing to look at without being over whelming. Well done.
