 This is my first entry into a challenge, I really hope I've done everyhting right.

I wasn't sure on how I should interpret this challenge so I thought about what light is to me.
She is a dancing fleeting beauty that changes every minute. Nothing about her can be foretold and she delights in surprising us. As the day ends she casts over the earth mystical and haunting spell. Never have I seen as much beauty than by simply sitting in a paddock at sunset and watching the last rays of light filter through the grass.

Through this photo I tried to capture the mystery of light. The subject is a simple grass seed backlit by the setting sun. I really don't know what reactions to expect or anything but figured I'd give it a go.

The Editing-
Cropped a bit of bottom part of photo.
Duplicated layer, soft lighted and faded opacity.
Duplicated original layer again and used unsharpen mask.
Fiddled slightly with saturation & Brightness/Contrast.
Used Burn/Dodge to correct a couple of highlights.

(I'm not sure if that classes as advanced editing....)
