I don't quite know what the background is and I really like it - I'm not sure you've made best use of it, but what a great eye you have to see the potential in this scene.

You used almost the absolute largest aperture that your lens will allow. I would suggest using a smaller aperture to increase depth of field when capturing a scene in which there is no primary subject, and then focus one third of the way into the photo.


I'm still trying to figure out the technicalties of my camera and once I think I figured something out somethin else happens ack. I will give that a whirl. I have a few wild flowers out in our woods my son saw blooming today I'd like to work on tomorrow so I'll read up and try that! Thanks

Wow, definitely an appropriate and descriptive title. The focus seems to be on the iron hanger and the vertical stems of the purple flowers. My eye tends to want to see the focus on the yellow flowers on the left, maybe because they are the most prominent flowers in the image.
