Taken after sun disapeared behind the horizon. Shot off of a tripod with One SB-900 Flash on a stand with Diffuser - (not an umbrella cuz it was too windy).

Post -
-Shot in Raw.
-in raw conversion i up'd the vibrance and the saturation.
-maid a layer of just the model, so i could keep her skin tones clean. (not to vibrant or saturated).
- Created a layer of the whole image and set it as a screen layer to "glow" the sky, then put a mask on that layer with a Horizontal gradient that disapears as it gets closter to the model.
-Rotated
-Cropped
-Saved for Web.

I am hoping to get a 6. But i don't know how well this fits the challenge

Lover her exuberance, and the incongruity of the location. Just wish the lighting had been less harsh, or a bit more like "twilight". It pulls me out of a natural mood, and makes her seem artificial.

Foreground subject and colors are great but the blurriness of the pier detracts from the shot IMO.

Nice use of OCF

Elegant and graceful - simple yet detailed at the same time. Very effective lighting, rich color and detail, it evokes a sense of time and place very well. A little bit of a soft focus on the subject which might slightly affect the overall rating a little, it's really the impression left on the viewer that is an artistic success even with that very little minor technical issue. Worth every point given. Well done.

i love the lighting here and how this shot really seems to stray far away from the doom and gloom of 75% of the pics in this challenge. the one thing that gets me ever time though is the blur on the lights on the pier... none the less 10 from me
