You did a great job here, with out explanation you make your viewers feel exactly what you want them too.

Thank you very much for all the comments. Yes, that is a gravestone. It seems that a lot of viewers think I placed the flower there myself, but I didn't, it was there when I arrived.
This was my very first "intentional" shoot, at one of our cemeteries. I chose to respect what was there and not add or move things.

Very emotional feeling. Flower looks so very sad!

How the flower is laying face down on the headstone personalizes the flower - as though it is grieving at the grave. Evokes a strong sad emotion - well done:)

Sometimes one can gain a nice effect by considering where u place flower instead of right on top of stone further away by suspension or setting up a little differently and focus on subject..

Just a tibbet or something to try..

I like your composition, a good setup. But the flower doesn't seem to be in focus, it seems that the stone is what's in focus. I think in this case the flower needs to be sharp.

Is that a gravestone? How very emotive to have that sad flower collapsed upon it.

I think that is an entirely cool take on the challenge maybe a bit more focus towards the flower with the dof everywhere else but I don't know I like it and think it is a very unique pic.......but a dead flower makes me sad lol
