Any chance you could do a "How'd They Do That" article for this one ClubJ? I have a low end camera, but I might have the controls for this one :)

You are gutsy. How many of you see me in the photo as you are looking at it. It really does make you appear to be sitting in the back of the photo with a lot of depth. If this is what you were going for, it worked. But don't think that's it. If you are gutsy enough to supmit it, I'm gusty enough to score it for what I described it is a 5.

Well thought out. Creative. I had this same idea but since I have no camera to keep the lens cap on when I shot it, I couldn't produce this photo. Hopefully I'll get it back though. The focus is perfect. Can't argue with the DOF. I think you're better off shooting this at a higher aperture though with a lower ISO, for mood purposes. The dark filter is probably not necessary in this one but adds a nice touch. Great use of negative space without an actual subject to focus on. Definitely the best black picture this week. I bet you could use this as a Macro of your lenscap. This pic will probably have a cult following. I'll join the "Club" :) - Inspzil

Ummm, the focus is a little off, and don't you think the crop is too tight. Maybe if you converted it to black and white, rotated it 90 degrees to the left, then flipped and mirrored it, it would be more interesting. Oh yea, and you should have adjusted the curves a little more. Otherwise, great shot. karmat

you are raising a deep philosophical question here ... you say you didn't submit a photo because they steal souls, but then the admin note says this is indeed a digital photo. did you steal your lens cap's soul? does a lens cap have one? how can you live with yourself? :)

Good idea, but I can't give a very high score because this isn't a better photograph than others in this challenge.

Very funny! but as a photo, I would NOT hang it on my wall. I kinda feel like this too, my photo is bit of a rebellion against the site, too. Good luck, but I still feel obliged to score this a 2. Swash

On theme. If this is a black photo, it would have been better to leave a suggestion. Why not sprockets or something to indicate black film as a submission to dp. Probably get a better reaction.
