 Taken on the same shoot as a few other shots I have put up here recently, this one is my personal fave and I've been saving it all month for this free study! Thanks again to Katie for being so brave - it's not easy to rock climb in a wedding dress! It's a shame (as always) about the low-res on DPC, it really kills some of the detail in this shot.

pp - convert raw -> dng, tonmapped the .dng file, opened in photoshop, adjusted the colour balance, brightened and cloned out one or two minor imperfections. Added a vignette. Resized, sharpened, added the framing blocks.

this is great (was it you who shoehorned the 'daring bride' [or something like that] into a previous challenge?)
Recently, I spotted a wedding dress in a charity shop for only £12. It gave me ideas but I think I'd struggle to find a willing model.

incredible image .. the tree so stark against the sky and the rocks all covered with moss or wotever .. and the girl ..

Very different and unigue - a solid image that is crisp, sharp and properly framed and composed - a technical success in every way. From an artistic standpoint, it has significant impact being richly colored with excellant detail. This image would have worked as a black and white as well. A perfect demonstration of the power of properly controlled light and focus. A potential top ten if not a ribbon winner. Well done.
