I popped this one in just because of how rare;y I get a shot with more than one horse whit all four feet off the ground. It reminds me of one of the first uses of photography to settle a bet. hired by Leland Stanford (railroad baron and founder of Stanford college) Eadweard Muybridge used early high speed photography to prove Stanford's contention that horses did indeed lift all four feet off the ground at the gallop. It seem obvious to us today, but until there was a photograph to prove it, it was not widely believed.

Eadweard Muybridge in 1872 settled a bet on whether a horse ever has all four feet off the ground at the same time. This is a perfect example of that which is still argued today. A richly detailed and dramatic image, this demonstrates the beauty, grace and style of a running horse in the Sport of Kings. Unfortunately, the image appears to be over saturated and over sharpened - the author would have done well to turn down the color intensity and allowed the image to speak for itself without sharpening. A worthy entry into the challenge, a little less post processing would have made this a top ten image and a potential ribbon winner.

A little too oversaturated, Some flaws seen due to post processing. Otherwise nice capture of the action , 6
