Took ages removing the filament out of a lightbulb with a view to shooting a burning candle inside.
However I couldn't keep it burning so had to move to plan B

I am up at 5:23pm checking my final score lol and simply can't believe it.

Many thanks to everyone for voting for me and making very kind comments

OMG, this has to win a ribbon, how did you get the bulb to stand there like that, the only thing i have to say thats bad, is that the top of the flower looks blown out,

Score 10: In my top 3 for this challenge, really like it. Simple concept (and one that many have used), beautifully executed with lovely lighting and nice composition.

Nice shot but I feel the orange border is too close to the subject. I think it would look better if the orange border was closer to the edge of the frame.

Nice shot and composition. Great idea for re-use of a light bulb.

I guess it was a harder sell to call it a Swan vase. ) Did you try other colors for the frame?

with more details on the flower and a bit of sharpening on the lamp this could be a killer image.

This is beautiful. Great lighting and a really cool setup and very "DPC-friendly" as I like to say. A flower and a lightbulb seem to be element associated with the green movement. But to be a devil's advocate: I'm not sure how this says "green" or environmentalism. However, strangely, it works as a stock photo for the topic.

Very nice. For me the water completes the shot and also gives it the needed balance.

Great concept, though there seems to be a lack of detail in the flower, and the reflection on the bulb, though in focus, looks blurred.
